CELEBRATE LIFE IN TUNICA WILL CELEBRATE SECOND YEAR!

TUNICA, Mississippi (November 10, 2006)—As the Celebrate Life in Tunica event wraps up, Hollywood Casino is announcing they will be bringing the event back in 2007, making this an annual event.

Celebrate Life in Tunica is a weeklong festival for the 50+ age group that incorporates live performances by Branson entertainers, evening social events, wine tasting, cooking classes, educational seminars, variety shows featuring senior entertainers, fitness activities, a Sock Hop, a Senior’s Prom, free gaming tournaments, karaoke, gaming lessons, and much more.

One of the event organizers, Sue Arko, says for many people who came this year, it was their first time to Tunica.

"Our guests had a great time and said they will be back,” Arko said. “We’ll look forward to building an even better program for next year to once again exceed their expectations."

This year participants in the week-long event came from all over North America.

“What is truly amazing is how far many traveled to be part of this event in its first year, coming from places like Arizona, Nevada, Florida, Illinois, Texas, and even Ontario, Canada,” Bill Canter, director of marketing and sales for the Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau said. “The combined appeal of the South’s Casino Capital with a fun, entertaining festival is the reason this event was a success.”

Several “Celebrate Life in Tunica” packages are now available for October 28 - November 2, 2007, starting at approximately $200 for three nights. Packages include accommodations at Hollywood Casino, taxes, and all Celebrate Life activities. Prices are per person and based on double occupancy.
